One the best written articles I've seen regarding Thomas Jefferson's vegetable garden at Monticello has appeared on the Southen Living website.

Read up and get ready for the 6th Annual Heritage Harvest Festival, starting tomorrow September 14th. This year the organizers have added a local craft beer garden, which I expect to be quite popular. Other events include workshops, guest speakers, cooking demonstrations, special tours and family activities.

Charlottesville Chamber Music Festival

Going on now and through September 23rd, The Charlottesville Chamber Music Festival is providing performances at various venues in the area. If you are at the Historic Downtown Mall on Friday, September 14th, check out the free perfomance at the Paramount Theater at 12:30pm, part of Charlottesville's 250th Anniversary Celebration!

David Grey at nTelos Wireless Pavilion Sept 20th

Grammy nominated David Gray is appearing at nTelos Wireless Pavilion on Thursday, September 20th, at 7pm. David Gray has special ties to our area. While forging a music career across the pond, he was noticed and then promoted by Dave Matthews and eventually signed to Dave Matthew's record label in the U.S. His album White Ladder became a bit of a sensation.

The concert is to feature his new album Foundling, which will be a significant break from his early popular success as this re-invented version discovers another side of his music talent. Here is a sample.
