Best Gardening Book

This is the best gardening book that you can add to your collection of favorite books -- the just published, A Rich Spot of Earth: Thomas Jefferson's Revolutionary Garden at Monticello, by Peter Hatch. Mr. Hatch has long been Monticello's tireless and inspired Director of Gardens and Grounds, and after more than 30 years of service and will soon be retiring from his post at Monticello.

You may visit with Mr. Hatch, Saturday, April 28 at the Open House at the Monticello Center for Historic Plants. He will be on-hand to answer questions and sign your copy of his book. This will be a unique opportunity to attend excellent workshops, garden tours, Q & A booths, peruse the historic plant sales, and to meet Mr. Hatch. The Open House is free and open to the public. It will take place from 10 AM - 4 PM at Tufton Farm.
