Central Virginia Enjoys a Bumper Crop of Peaches

What a wonderful weekend to come to the Hollow!  Peach growers are enjoying a bumper crop this year.  And I can say unequivocally the peaches are especially sweet (eat your heart out all you Georgia Peaches).

If you are escaping the city this weekend and/or looking for something to do before the fireworks start, you should come stay at The Inn at Sugar Hollow Farm.  There are several great orchards just down the road from the Hollow, including Henley’s Orchard and Chiles Peach Orchard as well as Carter Mountain Orchard. Picking your own peaches is a great way to spend a summer day, plus they have soft serve peach ice cream on hand.

And, if you need something to do with all those peaches, fear not:  we'll send you home with a great recipe for "Campfire Cobbler."  Now that's a reason to take a ride to the Blue Ridge.  We still have a few rooms left, but you'd better hurry.  Come see us!
