A Music & Arts Festival Comes to Crozet on June 17th

It's shaping up to be a beautiful weekend here in the Hollow. It may be a little cloudy on Friday, but I just know the sun will come up over the mountain on Saturday.  And, rain or shine, if you're hoping to see some talented bands and hear a lot of great music in the heart of the Blue Ridge, I know just where to send you.  Head on out of the Hollow and down the road to the Misty Mountain Camp Resort to check out the Campout East Festival. This is gonna be an incredibly exciting event.  The festival will feature the best in the region's music and art.  Without a doubt, Campout East is the place in central Virginia to see an eclectic array of truly talented artists and musicians up close and personal.   Plus,the folks at Mountain Camp Resort have thought of everything:  you won't have to enjoy all the great bands on an empty stomach.  Local restaurants have been invited to bring a scrumptious array of local cuisine, all just for you. Wow!  The festival starts Friday June 17th and runs through Saturday.  So, if you are a local or headed to the mountains this weekend to escape the rat race, the Campout East Festival is a good bet for a great time.

Pink Ribbon Polo Classic Raises Awareness About Breast Cancer and Benefits the Emily Couric Clinical Cancer Center

It's gonna be a beautiful weekend here in the Hollow! The weather seems to be cooling off a bit and oh the things to do around town.  For instance, our friends at King Family Vineyards are hosting the Seventh Annual Pink Ribbon Polo Classic on Saturday, June 18th.  The event raises awareness to the issue of breast cancer.  A good polo match is one of the most exciting sporting events to witness, is lots of fun and, in the process, you get to help a worthwhile cause. All of the proceeds from the event benefit the Emily Couric Clinical Cancer Center.  Gates open at 11:00 am with pre-game festivities and the Boutique Shops. The match begins at 1:30 pm.
