Sunday, September 25th is Family Day at Foxfield Races in Charlottesville, Virginia

The last Sunday in September signals the Fall Steeplechase Race at Foxfield Races in Charlottesville, Virginia.  It's a tradition going back to 1978. The races take place two times a year at Foxfield, located on Barracks Road and, coincidentally, only about 10 minutes from The Inn at Sugar Hollow Farm.  The spring race is always held on the last Saturday in April and can get pretty boisterous. The fall race is always held on the last Sunday in September and is much more subdued and family oriented, such that the September Steeplechase is known as "Family Day."  Spring or fall, however, both are quite a party and come with a spectacular horse race.

So if you're looking for some fun just outside the Hollow on September 25th, check out the Steeplechase just down the road. Come see us!
