Alison Krauss & Union Station Are Coming to the Pavilion in Charlottesville

We are so fortunate here at The Inn at Sugar Hollow Farm to be close enough to Charlottesville to visit the  historic downtown mall.  There's always a lot to do on the mall, including attend a summer concert at nTelos Wireless Pavilion. A lot of talented musicians appear at the Pavilion. On Saturday, July 30th Alison Krauss & Union Station will play at the Pavilion.  Alison Krauss is an incredible talent. Known as an American bluegrass-country singer and fiddler, she has a hauntingly beautiful voice and plays a soulful violin. Plus, she is accompanied by an eclectic array of musical talent.  In addition to Alison Krauss, Union Station is comprised of Jerry Douglas (Dobro, lap steel, vocals), Dan Tyminski (guitar, mandolin, lead vocal), Ron Block (banjo, guitar) and Barry Bales (bass, vocals).  With Krauss on lead vocal and fiddle, five distinct personalities who come together to form something truly unique. Although each bandmate has his own bustling career, when these singular musicians come together, they’re an airtight unit devoted to the process of making music together. Indeed, their connection is so close and deep that they’ve come to think of each other as family.
Alison Krauss & Union Station at the Pavilion in Charlottesville is a show you simply do not want to miss. And, if you want to spend some time in the Hollow before or after the show (we are only a 25 minute drive to the Pavilion), we have one room left.  Better hurry.  Come see us!
