Mmmm ...Good! Creamy and rich, the best Gouda Cheese you ever tasted -- right at our back door! Two of our guests this week brought their friends and made their return trip to the Inn at Sugar Hollow Farm with the specific purpose of paying a visit to nearby Our Lady of the Angels Monastery where they could purchase the best Gouda cheese made anywhere. They talked about it around the breakfast table and before we knew it others were asking directions to the monastery.

On your next visit to the inn, take the 10 minute drive to the monastery to purchase a round for yourself and one for a friend. It makes a perfect gift! Christmas, anyone?

Our Lady of the Angels is a Cistercian Order of nuns who live a contemplative life and support their community with the production and sale of Gouda Cheese made from the milk of cows that graze on their hillside property adjacent to the Moorman River in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

GIRLS WEEKEND GETAWAY AT THE INN AT SUGAR HOLLOW FARM, CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA

It was time to get away with just some of her female friends, so one of our guests reserved "The Farmhouse" for the weekend to sample good food and wine, and share in some laughter and bonding at The Inn at Sugar Hollow Farm.  The farmhouse suited the group perfectly with its quaint and comfy rooms, set adjacent to the main inn.  With the Shenandoah Park a couple of miles in one direction and excellent vineyards and wineries in the other, the girls group was picked up in a white stretch limo (by Camryn Limousine Service), all wearing custom made t-shirts, created specifically for the occasion.  They headed off on their scenic countryside tour in and around the Charlottesville,Virginia area to sample fine wines and enjoy the changing colors of the leaves. What a perfect way to spend a perfect day.
