Blue Ridge Area Food Bank will be the beneficiary of The Happy Cook's generosity this week (Monday through Friday from 6 - 7 pm). For just $10.00 you can watch local chefs prepare their signature dishes, ask questions, and then enjoy the meal afterwards. There will be a different chef each night leading their own cooking class. This is the second year for the Chef's Week fundraiser, and thank goodness they decided to repeat the event because the food bank reports that donations are down and demand has risen 30% each year for the past few years.

The Happy Cook in Barracks Road shopping center this week and spend ten dollars. You will not only be satisfying your stomach with a delicious meal, but will be aiding in someone else not going hungry. There will also be a barrel at the front of their store if you want to drop off some non-perishable foods.
