They took off early on a cloudless summer morning in June and, with Scott narrating the sights and scenes, flew over the rolling hills of central Virginia on their hour-long flight.
If you are hesitant to ride high in a balloon know that Sherry was also doubtful, but was highly complimentary of the pilot, Scott, who calmed her fears so that she could enjoy a most spectacular ride.
Rick and Sherry had never flown before and, once in the air, were amazed at the sense of quiet and effortless floating with the wind. They said it was a "trip of a lifetime," but will definitely fly again in this lifetime!
