If you are a birder you know about the website eBird.com. eBird.com has recently announced the roll out of a new iPhone App that is "the best invention for birding since binoculars", according to Ken Kaufman, renowned birder and author of the Kaufman Field Guide toBirds of North America. This sweet little app, now available on the App Store, brings to you astonishingly clear photos of hundreds birds, information about them, plays their song, gives you maps and much, much more. It's like having your own personal birding expert in your pocket.
Developed by Peter Myers(our neighbor in Sugar Hollow!) and his team at Birds in the Hand, LLC of Crozet and Charlottesville, VA the app was developed with the help of experts at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, the Academy of Natural Sciences, and Kaufman.
