CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA. YUMMO! A NEW RESTAURANT!

Camino, promises to be a good one! Having opened October 22, 2009, less than one month later it has enthusiastic fans who are "regulars".

Charlottesville's newest restaurant  is owned by Matt Turner formerly of  Jarman's Gap Restaurantant in Crozet and partners, Sean Thomas and Drew Hart. These three foodies have oodles of  restaurant experience throughout Charlottesville, and indeed, the whole of Virginia. Their combined restaurant experience totals well over 20 years. Camino occupies a numero uno spot on the west end of Charlottesville's historic downtown pedestrian mall.

Western Mediterranean cuisine is their focus and includes as much local produce as possible balanced with imported authentic European ingredients. Menu items will change seasonally and currently range from appetizers such as Tuscan-style tomato soup, or baby squid a-la-plancha, to entrees such as paella, Fossil Farm natural guinea hen or cassoulet.

Can't wait to go there for dinner!
